About the Acupunturist

"The Best Time to Plant a Tree was Yesterday; The Next Best Time is Today"

Meet Francis Marlon

Francis Marlon Bugarin is a California State Board Licensed Acupuncturist.

He graduated from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland with a Masters of Sciences in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

With over 10 years of experience studying and practicing various traditional Chinese Modalities, Francis’s approach to treatment integrates both Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. He believes that the combination of the two modalities maximize the positive effect treatments for both external and internal concerns. Having the most experience with treating patients with pain management issues, Francis considers himself always a student and feels comfortable treating internal concerns as well.

As an active youth, Francis always encountered more than the usual bumps and bruises and because of this was taken to different healers by his parents. He didn’t realize it then but their care made a very lasting subconscious impression that eventually led him to realize that he was meant to follow the same path. Francis truly believes that it is a gift to be able to serve others in this way and is grateful for the opportunity to assist others in facilitating their own wellness.

When not practicing Chinese Medicine, Francis practices and competes in traditional karate tournaments and sings for recreation in casual settings. He truly believes that his martial arts and music really aid him in his understanding of the mind, body, and spirit and emphasize how important it is to keep the harmony between the three.

After 10 years of working at multiple health clinics and settings, Francis founded Uyayi Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine in Stockton, CA. A dream realized; he is excited for the future of sharing Chinese Medicine with the community.

My Philosophy

Drawing upon extensive experience as an Acupuncturist, Tui Na Bodyworker, and Martial Artist, I have gained profound insights into the intricacies of the human body. Foremost among these is its remarkable capacity for self-healing.

In my interactions with patients embarking on their treatment journey, I often pose a question: "Between us, who do you think the doctor is?" While many reflexively point to me as the practitioner, I gently guide them to a different perspective. The true "Doctor" is the patient themselves. Through our collaborative efforts, we nurture and amplify this inherent healing potential, unveiling the extraordinary tapestry of life's journey.

Establishing my clinic has provided a platform to impart this holistic ethos, with a primary focus on empowering individuals to enhance their ability to heal themselves, physically, emotionally, and sometimes spiritually. While the path may require patience and dedication, the ends definitely justify the means.
